Migrated servers, the new one is actually up to date and the PHP migration has removed a lot of features that FluxBB probably should not have been relying on. Mostly create_function() and using curly brackets to index into strings and arrays, and forgetting your $s and just throwing yourself at the mercy of PHP to know what you meant.

Anyway, it's living enough that the site loads now, I was able to log in, I was able to edit a post, and if you can read this I kept squashing bugs until a whole new topic went through. There's definitely very many more lurking, so let me know what you were doing when you saw one.

There's just so many bugs that I have no idea I or nobody else never noticed that went from silently failing to loudly failing and blocking things from working, holy frick.

And so many like vestiges of abandoned ideas. Did you guys know that donations to another person can be deflected? Neither did I. What does that mean? I don't know. The only reference in the code is to change the "You received a donation" PM to "You received a deflected donation." The variable storing that status is never assigned to, which in modern versions of PHP actually stops the code from functioning rather than just silently saying "eh, let's call it false and keep it moving."

I just deposited a few fails and my bank tripled to 79 billion. Life is good, I was worrying our massive wealth approached kind of number limit. Is this the post-scarcity world people are talking about? Some kind of dystopia? I don't know at this point.
