READ THIS RULE BEFORE MOVING ON
If you wouldn't say it in front of your grandmother, don't say it here.
We have a collection of highly trained grandmothers reviewing every post, and they're all one highly inappropriate post away from a heart attack. How would you be able to sleep at night with that guilt eating away at you?
Out goal here at fail is to provide a calm environment where everyone can fail together. Because of this, we want these forums to be accessible by as many users as possible, including grandmothers.
Basically, this means:
- Don't swear excessively.
- Don't spam excessively, unless you're in the spam forum. Then you can go nuts.
- Don't win.
- Always fail.
- Keep conversations PG-12. It's like PG-13 but with less 13.
-
Don't 13. This is especially important for those of you who
are
13. People who 13 are scientifically proven to be more 13-y than any other age.
And if you're in the IRC:
- Don't spam excessively. Spamming makes it so that other people can't talk and therefore are unable to better themselves as followers of Failure. Spam in #failspam if you want to spam.
- Don't gamble in #fail. Gamble in #failgambling.
- Don't steal people's nicks or impersonate them.
There aren't any special rules for FailChan, but normal Fail Forum rules apply.
No matter where you are, the biggest rule here is to use common sense to treat everyone else like human beings.
If the staff thinks that you're being a nub cake we will ban you.
Ban lengths are typically 2 days on the service where the offense was committed and 1 day on every other service, but your mileage may vary depending on how winning you were. Especially winning people may find themselves banned for longer, or even permabanned if that's what the staff thinks is necessary for the continued advancement of Failure.
