Have you ever considered that maybe the lines are just brackets bent into what society forces upon them as an ideal shape?
Brackets simply need to accept themselves for what they are, which is not lines. Brackets, in fact, stand out as far more important than the lines.
Angle brackets are used in HTML documents.
Curly brackets are used to contain blocks of code in many programming languages.
Parentheses are used to show precedence in the order of operations and for functions.
Square brackets are used for accessing array elements.
Yet you think the lines are ideal? Tell me, where are those lines of yours so much more important?
As such, how do you define values in code without the equals sign? Is that not just two lines? Also, the underscore, very useful for usernames, and can you do your brackets in an IRC nickname? no. You can put nice convenient lines though! All websites with more than one page needs a forward slash, like the topic we are on now, and brackets used to be cool. But the lines became cool, and now you gotta be straight to be great.
