My current plans, in no particular order, which are subject to change based on any input you guys have.

Short term:
Nothing, now.

Long term:
1. Fail stock market.

Maybe:
2. Get the colorized groups mod up and running

Completed:
1. Get the forums up and running
2. Get the cash mod up and running.
3. Get the BBCode buttons mod up and running
4. Make a shop mod and get it working
5. Get the image awards mod up and running.

I don't know where to post about all this so I'm just going to dump all my progress on anything related to the forums in here:

- Added a shopban system to disallow misbehaving users from buying things from the shop. It's not finished but it works.
- Allow admins to change the visibility of items in the shop so that you can hide things like test items without destroying them and breaking things.
- Started work on an inventory script that will display items and allow users to use them.
- Added rounding to bank interest.
- Added group-specific interest rates instead of one flat static interest rate for all.
- Modified to cash mod to log different bits of info like donations, lottery tickets bought, and some other stuff so that I can make more mildly interesting cash facts.
- Probably some other stuff I'm forgetting.

- Added the item-displaying part of the inventory. I'm working on the rest of it.
- Added 2 different kinds of descriptions to items in the shop. A short description that goes on the front page of the shop, and a long description that is displayed when you view the details of an item.
- Begun laying the groundwork for a different way of doing titles/ranks. Titles will be unlocked either by buying them in the shop or posting. You can switch back and forth between unlocked titles any time you want. Can I get some opinions on this before I get any further in? Probably not, but I'm still asking just in case.

It's not broken, it's just not built yet. I'm almost there. I just need to add the final verifications to make sure people can't use other items to change their title, and to make sure that they've actually bought the item, and then it'll be done and no longer under construction.

Okay, it's done now. Not all the items, just custom titles. If you check the money page, there's a new item on the menu called Title. Go there to change your title. If you go to your inventory, you can use your Custom Title Tickets and add a new title to the list. Your group title will always be available there as an option. If you find any bugs, report them wherever.

That's odd. I've never had that problem in any of the places I've accessed the site. The only problem I've run into is an occasional PHP error when execution time goes above 30 seconds.

How long has it been lagging like that? And is it every page, or a specific one? What country do you live in? Is anyone else having similar problems?

What about the domain are you forgetting? Is it the .ml part or the tewin part or both?

Another small update, the footer in the index now shows posts per hour. Failing that, it displays the number of posts per day. Failing that, it shows the number of posts today. Failing that, it shows the number of posts this week.

Just general slow time connecting, ever since I found the forums again, any page.

I live in eastern United States.

The entire thing, thewinl or tehwiml... See... Maybe it's just me, bookmarked it anyways.

EDIT: This post took a good 10 seconds to submit.

EDIT: I used http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/ to measure it and it seems fine

And paste the results here? We might be able to figure out what's holding you back that way.

Okay, I copied the stuff in Cyral's image into a CSS file as best I could, and decided to change inputs to look the same, since the 2px border that they had really didn't look very good.

First Attempt:

So as you can see, it times out quite often, the ping times are also a bit high (115ms)

Notice all the requests to *.att.net, which is some AT&T server, which dot.ml uses

I wish it would say what requests are timing out. What happens if you type this?

EDIT: I edited cache.php to remove the labels and cleared the quickjump cache, the buttons should appear side-by-side now.

The homepage loaded very fast, but everything else is extremely slow if not unresponsive.

EDIT: This post took nearly 2 minutes to submit, but when I clicked edit it came up immediately.

Did the url change when you navigated away from the homepage?

Also, the unresponsiveness might have been caused by me. I tried to restart apache to load changes to httpd.conf and it didn't want to restart, which made the site go down for a while.

Ahh Yes, it is EXTREMELY fast now, and the IP does stay the same.

EDIT: I have to go now, so we will have to continue troubleshooting tomorrow I guess.

Also, changing the font-size of .pun h2, #brdmenu to 1.1em looks good

Huh, okay. I could try changing the base_url on the forums to the IP. It won't look as nice in the address bar, but people only use domain names to be memorable, and tewin.ml will still link here. Perhaps before that, I'll try directing another domain here and seeing if that makes a difference. Does lota.cf load slowly? What about tegaki.ml? How about other.tewin.ml? Do those all load slowly or do some of them work faster than others? What happens when you use a proxy to browse here?
