"Moral absolutism is an ethical view that particular actions are absolutely right or wrong. Thus stealing, for instance, might be considered to be always immoral, even if done to promote some other good (e.g., stealing food to feed a starving family), and even if it does in the end promote such a good. "

Many people deny in believing in this. Yet, in hundreds of instantness they fully stick by it and swear by it. Maybe it's people lacking interest in these instances. But, that's still no excuse to be so narrow minded. If you think something is truly wrong you clearly care about the subject to strongly insist that it's wrong.

In many crimes you can kind of see why the perpetrator did it. I'm not defending criminals. In a lot of "crimes" people aren't even hurt. But, the law pretty much says they are. And we all believe what the law says. Law isn't reality in most cases.

So, do you believe in it?

I think my stance for the moment is:
Wrong things are evil. Wrong things done by necessity are not good. Wrong things are never good, but they're not always evil.

It fits a few of the examples I came up with, like murder vs murder in self-defense.

Murder for no reason is always bad.

This leads me to change my opinion to:

Specific, individual things are usually either good or bad. Giving someone a cookie that they enjoy and that they are not allergic to is good. Giving someone a cookie can be either good or bad, depending on if they're allergic and if you knew. Murder can either be not good or evil, but murder for no reason is always evil.

I would argue that "murder for no reason" isn't an action. The murder itself is the action; the absence of reason is merely a circumstance. I think individual actions combined with their circumstances can often be judged as good or bad, though this is very obviously subjective.
