No thanks at all to 000webhost. -_-
The entire conversation so far:
Me wrote:The forums on my site are down most of the time. It says that it can't mysql_connect() but I have no idea how to fix that. When I use PHPmyadmin or something else like that to look at my db I have no problems so I don't know why it isn't working for the forums. Mainly the errors occur in footer.php. Is there anything you guys can do to fix it, or make it occur less often?
Me wrote:Ok...
I don't think it's the problem, since it does work if you keep at it for about 10 tries.
$db_type = '[nope.avi]';
$db_host = '[nope.avi]';
$db_name = '[nope.avi]';
$db_username = '[nope.avi]';
It's all entered correctly. I also made a test file that only connects to the db and does nothing else that you can see here:
http://fwin.co.cc/pun/mysql_test.php
If it's a blank white page it connected, if it's an error it didn't.
Little note here, net2ftp was acting weird, and when I tried to edit the file slightly (turning on debug mode) the entire file was wiped. I fixed it this morning by using a modified copy of the beta forum's config file.

In order to free up resources and improve performance on the MySQL server, we restart the MySQL service every 120 minutes. Since this Server is hosting over 32000 databases, it takes about 5 seconds for MySQL to restart. If someone is trying to connect to your website during these 5 seconds, they may experience temporary unavailability.
Please advise the users to simply refresh the website (usually with the F5 key), and it should load without any problems.
If you wish to have an account where MySQL service is on without any interruptions, you are welcome to upgrade your account at http://www.000webhost.com/upgrade

Srsly, guise, I think you're smart enough to reload the page.
