Do they? Do they really? Because this site looks different here on Opera than in Firefox, and it looks better in Opera. ...Y'know maybe that's just part of the stylesheet I made that Opera automatically applies to every page I visit. *checks* Yeah, it is. This stylesheet I'm using is for forums, since they use similar IDs and classes.

Is it true that many popular features in other browsers originated with Opera?
Yes, it is. It is widely known that tabbed browsing, mouse gestures, integrated download accelerator and manager as well as an integrated email client were first seen on Opera versions and later copied by other browsers.
Is Opera still only available for Windows based operating systems?
No, Opera is available as a download for pretty much anything that connects to the internet. Handheld devices, tablet computers, any PCs, any mobile phones and handheld devices, no matter what OS they run, there is an Opera version available. Even abandoned systems have still support, including Windows 95 and 98 as well as the largely forgotten Me. There are versions available for the almost abandoned Sony Ericsson platform, Symbian, as well as Apple’s iPad, television set-top boxes, but also Wii and Nintendo DS game consoles.
Superior Speed
Although it has a reputation for speed, appeared to overtake Opera during the past year.
Opera is making bold claims about their new Carakan JavaScript engine. I tested it using the SunSpider benchmark and Opera came out top. It was only 1% faster than Chrome, but more than twice as fast as Firefox 3.6. JavaScript benchmarks don’t tell the whole story and your experience could be different, but the engine is certainly one of the quickest.
Every vendor claims their browser is the fastest — even Microsoft — and “proof” can be offered with tests that exploit known optimizations. However, one of the best independent reviews of the top five browsers is available at Tom’s Hardware. In summary:
Opera and Chrome come out top, but Chrome just edges ahead with more second places.
Opera is especially fast when handling plugins such as Flash, Silverlight and Java. YouTube pages load are almost twice as fast as Firefox and three times faster than Chrome.
Opera’s memory usage is higher for a single tab, although the differences reduce as more tabs are opened.
Forget the charts, though. Browser margins in most of the tests are measured in milliseconds and the differences will be imperceivable. What matters is how fast the browser feels to you on your machine. In my experience, Opera is more than a match for Chrome and it offers far more features.[/alert]
