Problem: We need some method of private communication.
Problem: I can't find the Private Messaging system that was used on the old forums, and I'm not sure if any of the other ones are compatible with the way the other one was set up. It might screw up the private messages.
Problem: It'd be nice for users to be notified when they receive donations.
Problem: It'd be nice for users to be notified when their reports are dealt with.
Problem: It'd be nice for users to be notified when topics they are subscribed to are posted in, since the email system is currently down.
Problem: It'd be nice if the email system was working.
So I was thinking to myself:

"Jarom, you could solve all but one of these problems with one little mod. You could help change the world."

Anyway, the idea is that we would have one centralized location for all private-ish communication on the forums. You'd be able to send notifications to users, receive them from users, and all the rest of the stuff I listed above. When you get a new notification that hasn't been read, a notification about your notifications will appear on the forums below the navbar and will be a box with 2 buttons to acknowledge or ignore your notifications. You could view new notifications in the overview, where you could reply (if it's not a system message), dismiss, or delete them. As well as the overview mode where notifications are sorted by time, you could also group them by category/thread-thing. Thread-things are groups of notifications that are grouped together by the initial notification that started the string.

Things in bold are things I think are important for this to have that will probably survive to see the light of day. Everything is up for suggestion, and before I get started on this, I need to hear what you guys think about it.

You nub why would you even think about doing all that? Did you want the entire site to be half-finished forever? Is that what you wanted?
