i'm typing this message as a test. i think you forgot to have a 'both' option, however i tend to use my right hand more often than my left, but when a word is ending in a lot of letters on my left hand then i press space with my left hand.

I basically type only using my middle and ring fingers.
Generally most of the stuff near the right side of the keyboard is done with my right middle finger (right ring finger is only used on occasion). Left side of keyboard is pretty much arbitrarily split between left middle and ring finger. It works well enough for me I guess.

Back when I was very young I was an idiot and typed with just my index fingers like idiots do.
My brother told me that you were supposed to type with more than just your index fingers, so I started randomly using other fingers as well.
Eventually I ended up only typing with my middle and ring fingers.
In 6th grade I had a typing class and learned to type properly.
As soon as it was over I forgot everything I learned in it and just kept typing with four fingers.
Somehow I am fairly fast at it.

i type with all fingers, but in the wrong positions

i never use my pinky though
only for shift or ctrl

wellthen. I started with my index fingers, as does everyone, but then I decided to learn how to type right so that I could type faster. I got bored 5 minutes later and couldn't be bothered to learn the positions of all the fingers and stuff but I still use all my fingers to type except my right thumb.

Can I change my vote on the poll? I just assumed that I use my right thumb but while I was typing out this post I paid attention and actually it's my left thumb doing all the work.
