Hmm.  No one has ever asked for some lol.  Okay here is a literally realist and figuratively realist view of a glass containing water up to the half way point.  People always argue, "I say it is half full." "Well I say it is half empty.".  The real answer is that it is completely full, half water, half air.  Now the real way to answer it metaphorically is that you cannot see things as black/white light/dark and so on as two separate parts of the spectrum.  You must take both sides, rather than limiting yourself to a certain disposition.
