Re: Riddles

30 fails: A master forger copied a 100 dollar bill. His watermark, printing and paper were all perfect. Yet, he was still caught. How did they know?
He's a master forger, they knew he would be making counterfeits.

30 fails: half a pot was green beans, the other half was red beans. You were able to sort them all out by grabbing one with each hand. How?
Green beans are slimy sticks while red beans are dry and bean-shaped. I just felt them.

30 fails: You have 9 peaches. Yet you must split them between 13 friends. You get 5 cuts with a knife. The pieces must all be equal. How do you split them?
You split them with a knife.

30 fails: A farmer sold his 8 goats for 80 dollars. Then he bought 8 goats for 80 dollars. Why did he do this?
To get better goats

20 fails: Add something to nine to make it six. (No, you're not adding negatives)
A flipperoo-mechanism. err...

25 fails: There is a book. Balance the book on the corner of a table with 2/3 over the side.
Put a weight in the opposite corner.

10 fails: Take four nines to make 100.
Lolwut

15 fails: In the park, how much corn can a monkey get and peel in 5 minutes?
Why would there be corn in a park? none.

15 fails: Someone asks you to nod up and down, and up, and down... You do as they say. Why?
They are magic.

20 fails: A person was trying to shoot hats with a gun. He made it everytime, however he was blindfolded. (No, the blindfold was not see-through, no he did
not memorize the placement of the hats.) He was spun around 5 times before shooting. How'd he shoot the hat?
The hats are HUGE.

15 fails: An old man spent the entire day cleaning his table with a rag. There was color on his rag, but the color on the table would not come off. Why? (Yes, the color on the table was completely removable.)
He had no water and the paint or whatever had dried.

Re: Riddles

Slawthe gets the second 30. One of each.
Muffin gets the first 15. There is no corn in a park.
Nothing else. That's it. Muffin's answers were pretty good, but not right.

Re: Riddles

10 fails: Take four nines to make 100.
99 + 9/9. 99 + 1 = 100.

20 fails: Add something to nine to make it six. (No, you're not adding negatives)
IX + S = SIX.

25 fails: There is a book. Balance the book on the corner of a table with 2/3 over the side
Add another table. 2/3 of it will still be off the first table. Or balance it on the corner of each table.

This may be the closest anyone's gonna get on this. I'll release the answer tomorrow.

As you can see, I'm being generous today.

That is for future reference so as not to have to go back and forth, also because you never released the answer to the twins.

Grr. I tire of this bug. I think you got some... Lets see...

Slawthe wrote:

I split them between thirteen friends.

Sorry, nope. It's right, but not the answer I was looking for.

30 fails: A farmer sold his 8 goats for 80 dollars. Then he bought 8 goats for 80 dollars. Why did he do this?
So I can get 30 fails?

HAHAHA no.

25 fails: There is a book. Balance the book on the corner of a table with 2/3 over the side.
Think I heard this before, stack books slightly over each time until the last is 2/3 over.

Good idea, but no. The books would still topple.

15 fails: Someone asks you to nod up and down, and up, and down... You do as they say. Why?
Nods head.

What? No.

20 fails: A person was trying to shoot hats with a gun. He made it everytime, however he was blindfolded. (No, the blindfold was not see-through, no he did not memorize the placement of the hats.) He was spun around 5 times before shooting. How'd he shoot the hat?
With his gun.

No. (I'd actually accept two different answers, one is more complicated than the other.)

15 fails: An old man spent the entire day cleaning his table with a rag. There was color on his rag, but the color on the table would not come off. Why? (Yes, the color on the table was completely removable.)
The colors on the rag bled on to the table.

Nope. The rag was white to begin with.

I'll tell you this, none of these are trick or clever questions. They all have real answers, a couple are context.

Ugh. I split nine peaches into 13 equal pieces with a knife only using 5 cuts and give one to each of my 13 friends who don't even like peaches.
^ Or you cut them with things other than knives. I get 5 cuts with a knife, and 200000 cuts with a potato.

15 fails: Someone asks you to nod up and down, and up, and down... You do as they say. Why?
Coz they asked nicely. Or the other way, they're about to cut your head off.

30 fails: A master forger copied a 100 dollar bill. His watermark, printing and paper were all perfect. Yet, he was still caught. How did they know?
The bill he copied was counterfeit already. tongue
30 fails: You have 9 peaches. Yet you must split them between 13 friends. You get 5 cuts with a knife. The pieces must all be equal. How do you split them?
Split the peaches with the 5 cuts, spoon out the pits and place in a blender. Enjoy!
25 fails: There is a book. Balance the book on the corner of a table with 2/3 over the side.
Take a piece of paper, write THE SIDE on it, and then attach it to the table. Place book on it.
15 fails: Someone asks you to nod up and down, and up, and down... You do as they say. Why?
It's your barber.
20 fails: A person was trying to shoot hats with a gun. He made it everytime, however he was blindfolded. (No, the blindfold was not see-through, no he did not memorize the placement of the hats.) He was spun around 5 times before shooting. How'd he shoot the hat?
He tried to shoot it with a gun. In his mistake, he accidentally grabbed a camera. He shot every hat.
15 fails: An old man spent the entire day cleaning his table with a rag. There was color on his rag, but the color on the table would not come off. Why? (Yes, the color on the table was completely removable.)
The color was on his glasses. There was color everywhere.

30 fails: A farmer sold his 8 goats for 80 dollars. Then he bought 8 goats for 80 dollars. Why did he do this?
I'm rephrasing this question.

Re: Riddles

The farmer was rich

He wanted a super-goat

He sold the 8 goats for 80 bucks then bought another for 1 dollar.

He was trading deer for goats. Farmers do that sorta thing...

Why wouldn't he?

He did it for fun

All his goats were broken

Riiiight, no trick questions tongue

He made a profit of ten dollars total and he only needs one for milk and cheese and other sorts of dairy products which bring more money for a longer period than just selling for meat which he most likely did before.

No.

He sold his 8 aging male goats for a pregnant female goat. I was gonna say 8 goats cause the goat was pregnant for 7 baby goats.

5 fail: ( this might have been used already ) Imagine you are in a room with ceilings caving you in. You are tied up to a chair, blindfolded, mouth covered, no technology. The chair is connected to the floor and it is strong. How do you get out?

So as not to have to go back and forth...

Duck so that the top of the chair is higher than you and since it is strong the ceiling will stay.  Just keep working at the ties until they come loose then leave.
