No limits on size, but too big slows down the emulators. If a city or something is too big, consider splitting it into two maps. In Pokemon emerald, the battle frontier is split down the middle. How do I know? The game lags the tiniest bit when loading a new map. Most noticeable when running or biking across maps.

To save, click File>Map>Save As... pick a place to save it, and upload. Then I'll insert it into the failemon game. I may have to tweak it before it goes in, since the games use different tilesets, but that will only affect appearance. It'll still be the same city.

finished. I had my fiend loan me leafgreen so I did it on that. not sure what to do for people/events, but there's an item across the water and a dude by the cave who won't let you through until after you beat the elite four.

Nah, just describe the events to me, unless you WANT to script them yourselves. I'd prefer you didn't, or if you did, if you would include the script file, because pulling scripts out of the game is annoying.
