Because somehow two tabs of my brother running Chrome that he keeps open are equivalent to my twenty tabs in Safari in terms of memory, and he keeps about 12 tabs of Chrome open at a time. Result: With other small stuff included, 20 mb of free RAM. wut wut Chrome.

That's crazy. And completely unacceptable with my pathetic 386MB of RAM. Opera, on the other hand, always runs nice and fast with plenty of free RAM to run games. No waiting for things to unfreeze like firefox. No bugs like chrome. No evil from safari. No crap from The Browser That Will Not Be Named. Just awesome.

Srsly. Even The Browser That Will Not Be Named would go to google instead of trying to find a server. Well, since Bing came out it'd probably go search it on bing now, wouldn't it?

This computer is lag-free. This is a laptop. I've had about 10 tabs at once and there was 0% (maybe 1%) lag. This is Firefox. There's no freezing. Different55, what are you talking about?

I accept that as a problem, but that alone isn't really a reason to hate Safari. And if you use the latest version of Safari on Mac now it has unified search bar (much to my chagrin, I hate that).

This computer is nearing 10 years old. This is a desktop. I've had about 30 tabs open at once and there was 0 lag. THIS. IS. OPERA. Freezing is unheard of here. There are no errors. There are no slowdowns. There is only awesome.

@Rat, it's not just that, it's just so....
Average. There is nothing special about it. It's not like UCWeb vs Opera mini (running on a j2me enabled device) where Opera has insane loading speed but slow UI speed and UC has no lag and some awesome shortcuts but pages (and especially images) take FOREVER to load. There's nothing to make it stand out. It's just.... a browser. There's no articles out on the web saying SAFARI ROCKS. The closest thing I can find is "5 Reasons Why Safari Rocks Chrome" and those reasons aren't very good.

Opera doesn't do that either. I sometimes forget about typing "g" before the search.

Wat? Opera does that. I just opened a new tab, typed "lol", pressed enter, got google, hated the fact that "lol" brings up so much league of legends stuff instead of stuff actually about lol, then closed the tab. All in less than 3 seconds (I timed it with my timer extension). If you leave out the prefix it will search using your default search engine. For me it's google.

It's speed dial. Firefox copied something similar on its new tabs, except you can't set whatever you want on firefox, and opera's speed dial is a lot cooler looking depending on the skin you're using. Also, you aren't limited to 9. You could have OVER 9000 speed dial sections if you wanted.

I like chrome's. It's better, because a) it seperates extensions and sites, and b) it has multiple screens to switch between, so it doesn't look too crowded.
