Well Minecraft servers always want me to make stuff hmm

And it's kinda related to the forums in the sense that I would be willing to make a logo for them.

Yeah, But it directly relates to the forums, I'm not here to show off my work but using it so you can see what I can do, for the forums.

Re: Forum Logo

That'd be nice. We haven't had a logo since we were on forumify.

Do you have anything in mind? As far as colors, size, style?

Re: Forum Logo

Somewhere around 300-700x100-200. Failure is simple, so the logo should probably be simple. You can try to cover it up, but failure is always transparent, and so should the background of the logo be. I can't think of anything about failure that's colorful. Maybe red, orange, or grayscale. Really, anything you would do would be fine.

Such symbolism. Bravo.

Re: Forum Logo

They both look great. I think I like the first one better, but that's just my opinion. What does everyone else think?

Anyway, as soon as I can get out of bed I'll add it.

I'll wait for everyone's opinion and then add some shading and whatnot

That thing I overuse? Here is how in GIMP

1. Create your text.
2. Duplicate the layer
3. On the new layer, click Filters > Distorts > Video
4. Click "3x3", "Additive" or not, depends on the look you want.
5. Set layer to overlay, 50%, or something somewhat transparent (Kinda play around step...)
6. Colors > Desaturate, if you want, it might get rid of the Red/Green/Blue pixels you see sometimes
OVER 9000!!!!!. Yeah, just mess around, it will look good eventually

EDIT: "OVER 9000!!!!!" Randomly poped into my text... 0_0, Should be 7

Re: Forum Logo

Thanks for the instructions.

We have a censor that changes the number seven into 7. It makes lists like yours mildly amusing-er.

Also, this image, when zoomed out to 30%, gets really colorful.

Never noticed that, anyways, it's because I didn't desaturate the lines.

Re: Forum Logo

The other way of doing those lines in photoshop is to create whatever width of them and color you want on a new canvas and save it as a pattern to overlay onto a layer, for those who don't use gimp.
