How to make a good spam thread

When making a good spam thread, there are 3 basic rules that need to be kept in mind. I'll be sharing these with you in the following 208 words.

The first and most important rule when making a spam thread is to be internally consistent. If you start by spamming images, end it with images. If you begin with random letters, end it with random letters. Don't switch to other spam types in the middle of your opening post. If you make multiple spam posts, you can switch styles from post to post but each post should still remain internally consistent. This is vital, as it affords a sense of unity to each of your posts.

Second, it should be noted that some of the most successful spam threads have been similar to intelligible discussion. Random letter spam, at least when used in the opening, often leads to a quick burst of activity at creation which quickly falls until nobody posts there anymore.

Third, don't abandon your thread. This may seem like common sense, but it's important and needs repeating. It's one of the easiest things to do to help your thread live on. If it's not doing as well as you would have hoped, make a few posts in it to set an example and to inspire others. Nourishing your spam thread with posts can mean the difference between 50 pages of posts and 2 posts.

I know it's scaling to my computer screen, but I am always struck with now odd it looks when it's like this. Not sure what you could do about that. Maybe center it and set a specific size for it?

Holy crappy that is a wide screen. How big is that? Looks like somewhere around 2100 from the smilies.

I'm not sure, setting a specific size makes a huge gap appear between the smilies and the text box for some reason, although you might not mind with your obscene amount of horizontal space. I could try using CSS media queries, which would detect when someone with an obscenely wide screen is on the site and then make it fixed and gap-y. Or I could set a fixed max-width for the site, which would make the whole site take up less horizontal space for wide-screened people like you.

That does seem like a rather large gap. You could always make the smileys a popup or scroll box up top, too. They seem a bit oddly placed where they are.
