Bank Problems

Imagine that I have 8956 fails in the bank.

Now imagine that I have 5 fails not in it.

Now imagine that I have 27.14 interest waiting in the bank.

Now imagine that I deposit my 5 fails into the bank.

Now imagine that after doing this I have 9151 fails in the bank.

Where did the extra 163 fails come from?

No idea. I'll check it out after I'm done with the lottery. I probably have 2 different interest formulas running; I only recall changing one instance of the formula a little while back.

Yeah, at first I thought I was just imagining things but I finally determined I actually was getting a ton of extra interest.

Imagine that this happened again.

I don't have the specific values on hand, but I'm going to check the numbers next time I deposit in the bank. I'm pretty sure it happened again.

Edit: Confirmed. Had 11293 fails in bank, 1 outside, 9.33 interest waiting. I deposit the 1 fail and then have 11359 fails in the bank rather than 11303.

Yep, definitely something wrong. 10211+254.28 interest+ 5 deposit does not equal 11359, it's 10470.

And it shouldn't have been mathematically possible for your interest to put you ahead of me in money. Something is strange.

The last time I deposited cash, it did give me the right amount. Either different is doing something or it's just unpredictable.

Doubt it. It's likely that you two were using different actions (withdrawing vs depositing) and that's somewhat reasonable. Unpredictable computers are just ones you haven't learned the rules of yet. Unless they really are unpredictable. Then you're better off burning it to the ground and rewriting everything.

About the different actions, I only deposit in the bank, but this error still occurs sometimes while other times it doesn't.
