The nuclear bomb explodes, but protects me since I'm standing against the wall. The wall then falls over, and I escape.

Your feet are glued to the ground and someone's about to shoot you, from a distance where you can't knock them over but they can still shoot! Not only that, but everyone who has ever known you (excluding the gunner) has amnesia and can not rescue you. Plus, you've lost your luck-manipulating powers and the world no longer revolves around you.

I throw a rock at the panel where the batteries are stored (which falls off) and throw a second rock at the batteries, knocking them out and rendering the bomb useless. I then escape the unlocked (it's not locked) door.

You're falling down a cliff at 100 MPH, none of your friends can teleport or reach you fast enough, and the surface you're going to land on is made of tacks with concrete below it. Also you're one centimeter from the ground.
