My Laptop had a kernel panic

I bought it used and don't have the OS install disc. I don't feel like spending money on a new OS disc so now it's a Linux.

CrunchBang. Get it. Make a separate partition for your /home/ so you can reinstall without losing anything. That goes for all Linux distros.
