Paperback. I don't like the papery cover thing they put on hardcovers. And if you take off that cover, the book looks bland.

Not all hardcovers have that. I've seen more without it than with.

Hardcovers don't fall closed. They're easier to read in bed on your side.

Paperbacks tend to bend on me and stay permanently open, so I prefer hardcover.
