"Alright, that's enough arguing."

Kerine moved swiftly over to the red flag and wrote on it "Code Red". She then went to the blue one and wrote "Blue Rocket".

"There, now get going. Code Red, your camp is about an hour to the left. Blue Rocket, yours is to the right. You've been provided basic shelter in the form of a small homestead. You can do what you want with it. Rory, Fradeshan, we have a golf cart to take you to the house. (which happens to be the one I was in at the start of the show)"

For Code Red

The Code Red members, minus Rory, turned to the left and began walking into the forest. As they traveled, the more observant among them would notice the trees gradually changing. At first, only a few pines were interspersed with the other trees, but soon they were walking through a complete pine forest. To make the trudge even worse, a heavy snowfall soon began, dusting the trees and contestants in white. Finally, the trees began to thin out closer to the camp, where the terrain became a snow-covered, rocky tundra. It was freezing, and though the contestants passed a lake, it was completely frozen over. After about an hour's walking, the contestants stopped in front of a particularly large pile of snow, which turned out to be the homestead, though it many holes in it and the snow was inside as well. Inside they found a pack of matches, and food and water for two days, as well as a hunting bow and a shovel. Their concern would have to be the cold, as well as finding food that was edible.

For Blue Rocket

The Blue Rocket members, minus Fradeshan, turned to the right and began walking into the forest. As they traveled, the more observant among them would notice the trees gradually changing. At first, the trees merely began to thin, but soon they were walking scrublands with only low-lying shrubs to be seen. To make the trudge even worse, it was uncomfortably hot, even in the middle of the night. Finally, the even the shrubs began to thin until the terrain was a barren, sun-baked wasteland. The air was very dry, and though a lakebed was next to their trail, it was completely dried out. After about an hour's walking, the contestants stopped in front of their homestead, a rather run-down thing. Inside they found a pack of matches, and food and water for two days, as well as a hunting bow and a tarp. They would have to get themselves water soon, or they would have little chance.

I did give you all hints, should have expected this.

Next challenge up tomorrow, I'm trying to speed this up a little so deadlines for sending things in will be 2 days instead of 3. Also, include your character name in any PMs you send for challenges/voting.

OOC: lolbluerocket. Also, wouldn't it have made more sense to put team blue in the cold and team red in the heat?
About how big is the homestead, is it big enough for all of us to be in at the same time?

OOC: That's what I was planning, then I changed it. The homestead is one main room with some chairs, two bedrooms. Small rooms, but there should be enough room for all of you to fit inside, at least. Might want to do something about the piles of snow though.

OOC:guise RP some. Also, challenge because I said I would and just typed it.

After a hard two days at their camps, the teams were exhausted. On the third morning when they awoke, with little food or water left at their camp (as they had done nothing in the preceding days), they found a letter taped to their door.

“Not doing so well? Might be able to change that at your next challenge!”

Wearily, they shuffled out the door, back to the forest, and to the challenge site.

“You guys look to be in terrible shape,” said Kerine. Rory and Fradeshan were waiting for them, looking very pleased. “Well, regardless, it’s time for your next challenge. Actually, it might just find you a little better-off than you were. The challenge is a Scavenger Hunt for items you need. They're hidden somewhere in the forest. Of course, you may not find your items…”

Kerine handed each team member a list of clues and took the keys to the house from Rory and Fradeshan.

“You have 2 hours to find as many items as you can. You get to keep the items you find, and the team with the most items at the end of 2 hours wins.”

The list read:

Deep below the ground, but still accessible.

It blends in with its natural surroundings.

It’s like it was a gift from the heavens.

Blocking off something essential

The prize is sweet and so is its hiding place.

Soft and fuzzy like the item.

Deep below the ground and far less accessible

This’ll help you remove the root of your problems.

Hope you don’t fall!

You’ll have to catch this one.
