PSA: Various incoming things

Expect:
Planned downtime on Tuesday from 5-7PM CST while we optimize and relocate the server to either a closet or garage.
Other speed ups shortly following this downtime.
No more random slow downs after the downtime, hopefully.
No more random outages caused by duck tape like what happened last night following the downtime.
Me to be able to play games on p64k and whatever that game silverheart posted was.

And the rules got revamped so there's that.

The ethernet cable is kinda broken so it falls out easy. So I duck taped it in so it won't fall out. Last night at midnight the duck tape came off.

I think duck tape is actually a lot stickier than gaffer tape, too.

Not true. There's a reason we use gaffer tape instead of duck tape in stagecraft.

Also because it's black not all metallic and shiny like duck tape, but still.

It is all duck tape. The original name came from an adhesive being applied to a type of cloth called duck cloth. The term "duck tape" was actually a corruption of the original name after duck tape became commonly used for wrapping air ducks. The original, proper name is duck tape.

"Duck" only became a brand name after the corrupted version of the generic name replaced the original name in common use. Duck tape was the original generic term.
