ill prollly and for practical sense, stick with Fluxbb, i just want to know.

whats pros and cons for choosing Fluxbb over Punbb or Punbb over Fluxbb

PunBB's extensions are safer and faster to install. There's no chance of messing something up. And if something does go wrong, you can disable extensions easily and remove the one that went wrong. To install an extension on FluxBB you have to replace code, insert code, remove code and that can go wrong. Especially if you have to insert code after a bit of code that you removed/replaced to install another extension.

oh cool thanks for telling me that. my cousins are trying to make a website, but don't have a clue, so yah, I think punbb might help since they are beginners like me, however it seems you can't edit the css on the forum, is that true?

You can't edit FluxBB's CSS either, not the way you're talking about. Both me and rat built custom CSS Editors for PunBB or FluxBB. But if you want to edit the CSS all you have to do is edit the CSS files.

However, there are many mod autoinstaller mods for FluxBB available. In addition, I believe there are more mods available for FluxBB. But for beginners, PunBB probably would be a bit easier.

However, when you want to make a full website and don't have much experience, don't center it around a forum software unless you just want it to be a forum.

Edit: Although PunBB also has the advantage of being made by the coolest company in the world, Informer Technologies. Uhll, typing that made me hear the name "Informer Technologies" in a really annoying voice in my head. Seriously, you can't even imagine how annoying.

I'm not sure about PunBB, but it's pretty easy to make a page that integrates with the forum. By that I mean that it has the forum header, the forum footer, and it allows you to access everything the forum does. You just include some code from the forum and the beginning and end and you're set. You can access all the stats for the user who's logged in, you can forbid access to users who aren't logged in, there's plenty of stuff to do with it. You can probably do the same with PunBB, but I haven't seen it done publicly yet.
