Thoughts? Opinions?

Personally I think it totally sucks that all those years of forum history were lost, but that's probably why it happened in the first place. I feel kinda pretentious saying it but I think the reason Meredith took out the forums was because I had said that the EE forums going down were the last thing I wanted. Like she's trying to get back at me for... trying not to make the 5 long years of forum history disappear forever? idk really but whatever. She's obviously irritated at me, she even dragged fail into it. Not sure how she has the nerve to deny it. She shut down both forums with the same maintenance message and at the same time even, plus that long list of circumstantial evidence I collected which has now gone the way of the dodo.

I hear things and the things say that they aren't putting it up for months, if ever. The current "plan" is to wait for this to blow over in a few months but I suspect by that time they'll have totally lost interest.

Google cache, but that's about it. Topics agent cached in your browser because they're dynamically generated every time.

CSS and images are different, though. I nabbed CSS files out of my browser's cache for reference. I need them colors. And since Kentiya gave me the okay for his logo, I grabbed that, too. I'm a little hesitant to just use the CSS files because Atilla would throw another tantrum even though he has no legal rights to those files since they were released open source. Since these CSS files are a derivative they're still FOSS. And then on top of all of that he stole them so they're not even his even if they weren't FOSS. But nope, not going to use them. I'll just keep working on Carbon.

Well, there was this one really super long story in creative that was lost but depending on how you feel about those kinds of topics you could still argue that nothing of value was lost.

I don't think it's procedural, just random. If it were procedural then everyone would experience the same endlessly long story.

Anyway, has anyone ever done an RP on the EE forums? I feel like the only place an RP has really been successful was on fail and we haven't had any RPs on the forum since Silver's hunger games rp but that rip'd when we jumped ship from forumify.
