Can't hug big people

So, I asked to hug one of my older female friends to say goodbye to them as I would not see them for a while (eww female hugs eww, eww older) Anyway, I walked towards them as I hugged them I stood on their foot, as i wrapped my arm around them, my heavy bag fell down my arm, then my bag hit her in the back.. Yeah, it sucked.

I'm only used to hugging small people, clearly.
